A satirical comedy that warns
the viewer of the dangers of bisexual women, SHADY BI
is shot in the style of 1950s educational films that
cautioned teenagers against drug use and pre-marital
sex.
Filmmaker Bio:
SHADY BI director April Faith Hirschman was first introduced
to the love of cinema by her father, an avid video collector.
Hirschman’s first film, a project about Frida
Kahlo entitled “Bood and Monkey,” won the
“Best Short Film” award at San Francisco
Videofest in 2006 and also showed as an audience favorite
at the Berkeley Women of Color Film Festival in 2001.
SHADY BI is Hirschman's second film.
