Bio:
Kami Chisholm holds a Ph.D. in History of Consciousness
and Feminist Studies from UC Santa Cruz, where she completed
her dissertation entitled The Transmission of Trauma:
Psychoanalysis, Race, and Technologies of Cultural Fantasy,
and a B.A. in English and Film Production from Loyola
Marymount University. A San Francisco-based independent
filmmaker, Chisholm is the director the feature documentary
FtF: Female to Femme (distributed by Frameline),
as well as numerous short films; her work has screened
at film festivals worldwide. Chisholm currently teaches
feminist/queer/race theory and visual culture at California
College of the Arts and San Francisco State University.
